Dr. kalidas personalizes each patient's treatment plan according to the unique needs of the individual; there is no "cookie-cutter" approach. Treatment immediately following a tick bite typically includes a course of antibiotics, which may eliminate all presenting symptoms. However, due to the complexity of the Lyme bacteria's life cycle, a combination of antibiotics may be necessary for true recovery. Some patients require long-term treatment with oral, intravenous, or injected antibiotics, as well. In addition, Dr. Kalidas prescribes nutritional supplements (both oral and intravenous), along with aerophytotherapy (a therapy that uses essential oils) in partnership with Dr. Ivanova.
